Under The Arcades Of The Place Des Vosges

The Arcades of the Place des Vosges

"Arcades of the Place des Vosges"

Under the arcades that frame the Place des Vosges, al fresco dining is an all-year round activity, thanks to the gas-powered patio heaters that have become such an important feature of Parisian city life and street furniture over the past few years.

The restaurant Ma Bourgogne where Alain Delon and Leslie Caron plot the liberation of Paris in the 1960s epic Is Paris Burning? is immediately to your right, and if you want to see where Jacques Chirac wined and dined the Clintons during their state visit in the 1990s, you have to move only a few steps further down. Be warned, however: L’Ambroiserie is not only one of the best, but also one of the priciest restaurants in town.

Have you been to the Arcades of the Place des Vosges?
