A Side Entrance of the Odeon Theatre
The Odeon Theatre near the Jardin du Luxembourg was occupied by left wing students during the 1986 riots and turned into an alternative Parliament – although this rather sober term fails to capture the “happening” athmosphere of the event. Some students, for example, plundered the theatre’s costume department and attended “Parliamentary” sessions dressed as Desdemona or King Lear’s Fool.

Quite a striking photo. In blk and white even better.
What is it with Parisians and rioting at theatres? I remember there was one about 100 years ago as well (remember reading about, that is).
Nice photo and interesting information about the Odeon being occupied by students in 1986 rioting — didn’t know that.
Love the light!
